t-Test for Regression Slope

Test whether the slope β₁ of the least-squares regression line differs from 0 — that is, whether x and y are linearly related — using a t-statistic and the t-distribution.

Load data from the Datasets, Edit Data (two numeric columns, x and y), or Open File/URL tab, or use Enter Summary to type the slope, its standard error, and n.
X / Y selectors let you pick the explanatory and response variables when the data has more than two columns.
Hypotheses: H₀ is fixed at β₁ = 0. Click the alternative (H_a) toggle to cycle ≠, <, > for a two-sided or one-sided test.
Conditions checkpoint reminds you to check linearity, constant spread, and the shape of the residuals.
Confidence level sets the matching interval for the slope (default 0.95).
