Randomization Test: Diff in Means

Shuffle the group labels many times — breaking any real link between group and response — recording the difference in means each time. The histogram is the null distribution of the difference when the groups don’t matter; the p-value is the share of shuffles at least as extreme as your observed difference. This is a test, not an interval — there is no confidence interval.
