Two Categorical Variables
Explore the relationship between two categorical variables using a grouped bar chart and a contingency table. Use the Row variable and Column variable menus to choose which variable goes where.
Chart type — Side-by-Side puts each group's bars next to each other for direct count comparison; Stacked stacks them into one bar per group; 100% Stacked scales every bar to the same height so you compare proportions instead of counts.Swap Chart Grouping — swaps the row and column variables, flipping which variable defines the bars and which defines the colors.Show (contingency table) — display raw Counts , Row proportions (each row sums to 1), Column proportions (each column sums to 1), or Cell proportions (every cell as a share of the grand total). Row vs column proportions answer different questions, so pick the one that matches what you're comparing.
Once data loads, a summary bar appears with buttons to Explore, Preview, or Download the data, and a Change Data button to load something else.
